Anne and Dave
July 1, 2001
Location: Australia
ABOUT THE BRIDE: In 1980, Anne was born in the Victorian town of Mildura, Australia, and
currently resides in Melbourne. After finishing high school, she was
enrolled at Monash University where at present, she is studying a double degree
in Science and Law. In her spare time, Anne loves painting, playing the
piano and enjoying the outdoors!
ABOUT THE GROOM: David was born in Sydney, Australia, during 1979 but grew up in Melbourne. He
was also enrolled at Monash University after finishing high school.
Identical to Anne, he is currently also studying a double degree in Science
and Law. Some of David's favourite pastimes include tennis, photography, and
appreciating movies!
HOW WE MET: Anne and David, both 18, met on their first day of university where they
were officially a "couple" a week later. Having seen each other every day
since, they got married a few years later when they were 21.
ENGAGEMENT: David proposed to Anne on their first anniversary at their "special" place!
PLANNING:The couple's engagement lasted roughly two and half years but went quickly
during university. Money was an issue whereas expense was not - therefore,
the wedding day was planned for a time where they could save enough
money for a magical wedding! Planning was essential for the perfect and
flawless day, and all the time and effort was worth it.

ATTIRE: Anne wore a two-piece ivory/white dress with a long train which was tucked
neatly for the reception! Many shopping adventures with the bridesmaids were
taken to discover the perfect dress and accessories. For the boys, a black
suit with gold cravat was in accordance with our gold colour theme.
THE CEREMONY: Anne and David were married at 4pm in the chapel of Ballara Receptions,
Eltham (Victoria, Australia) by their celebrant, Max Perry. It was a
glorious winter's day with a spectular sunset!

THE RECEPTION: The "PARTY" began straight after the ceremony at the function room in
Ballara. Anne and David waltzed to Still the One by Shania Twain, the
first of their many "songs". Music was performed beautifully by their
wedding band, The Real Thing. Both Anne and David contributed to the wedding
speech, followed by the cutting of their two-tiered intricately-decorated
wedding cake. Following the party, Anne and David escaped to the Mount
Dandenong for a brief pre-honeymoon. Queensland was to be their honeymoon
destination at the end of the year.
HOW WE PERSONALIZED THE WEDDING: Gold was the colour theme
according to their reception venue. Luckily, this
was not decided until the later stages of the wedding, since our initial
pick for our reception venue (with a blue theme) was burnt down! Anne and David
created their own gold and white invitations, placecards, and thank-you cards.
Anne and David had never been to a wedding before, and were happy to leave
everything else to the professionals after our consultation!
THINGS WE LOVED: Pulling off an impressive wedding was the best achievement since they were
so "young" and never had been to a wedding before. After years of planning,
they were extremely happy to make their commitment to each other "official
to the world"! Celebrating this event with close friends and family was
definitely a highlight. Both the planning and the special day were wonderful
experiences which will live in our minds forever.
